Graduate Programme – Software Engineer Remote (London)

About the role:

Do you have a passion for technology and coding? Are you looking to kickstart your career in the world of computer science? Our Software Engineering Graduate Programme could be up your street.

This two-year graduate programme will equip you with the knowledge, skills and expertise you’ll need to become a highly capable Software Engineer. You’ll learn how to align technology with business needs of clients from SME’s to MNC’s, gaining hands-on experience across the full lifecycle, from requirements analysis to deployment and support.

The role is primarily Work from Home (WFH) but you must live a commutable distance to the office in Central London as you will be required to come in for meetings from time to time.

What you can expect from the programme:

• Depending on the nature of the project we’ll train you in technologies where you will be exposed to full stack development. We’ll also train you in best delivery practices such as DevOps and Agile methods.
• You will gain experience in all aspects of the development lifecycle – from requirements analysis through to coding, testing, deployment, and post-production support.
• You will work closely with a mentor to ensure you receive the support and personal development to succeed at Elemental Concept.
• You will be engaging in projects and opportunities where you will work with cutting-edge technologies.
• You will be part of a global, dynamic, and innovative team.
• You will be expected to be self-motivated and to demonstrate initiative from the start,though you will have a more experienced mentor to assist you during this period.Responsibilities:

• Participate actively in training sessions, workshops, and hands-on coding projects.
• Effectively communicate and collaborate with team members and clients on real-worldprojects.
• Contribute to the development and testing of software applications.
• Attend in-office meetings in central London. Travel costs to these meetings will be incurredyourself.
• Learn, grow, and adapt as you progress towards a Software Engineer role.

About YOU:

You will be passionate about technology, constantly growing your technical expertise both within and out-side the working environment.

• Degree in a relevant STEM discipline such as computer science, engineering, mathematics, or physics.
• You are open-minded, have a great team spirit and want to make a difference.
• You have strong analytical and conceptual skills.
• You are a logical and natural problem solver.
• Have excellent attention to detail.
• Are hands-on and have the ability to quickly pick up new programming languages.
• Having the desire to work collaboratively in a team with a curious approach, challenging yourself to find new solutions.
• Be able to work independently and in a remote environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Have a valid visa/work permit to work in the UK
