Purpose 

To lead Elemental Concept projects as a Project Manager, your role is not only to drive product delivery beyond client expectations while aligning with our commercial goals but also to seamlessly integrate into client organisations when necessary.  

This encompasses comprehensive project management responsibilities, from initial product discovery through to delivery and extending into post-launch support. You’ll adeptly navigate both Agile and Waterfall methodologies, applying each as suits the project’s needs to ensure flexibility and efficiency in our processes. Importantly, your role will also involve working within the broader constraints imposed by clients, especially in scenarios where you are part of a team that’s embedded within a client organisation.  

Managing client relationships and meticulous planning form crucial components of this role, ensuring a smooth, communicative, and transparent journey for all stakeholders involved. 

 

Key Responsibilities  

  1. Product Discovery and Definition: 
  • Participate in Discovery Workshops to uncover client needs, define user stories, and identify product features. 
  • Conduct market research to understand client business contexts and market dynamics. 
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define and prioritise a product backlog that aligns with client expectations and project goals. 

 

  1. Delivery Planning: 
  • Develop comprehensive project plans, outlining milestones, assumptions, deliverables, and timelines. 
  • Ensure alignment across the project team, including the Account Manager, Technical Lead, and Delivery Team, and adjust plans as necessary to address changing project dynamics. 

 

  1. Project Execution and Management: 
  • Manage the product lifecycle from concept to release, employing Agile practices such as Scrum for iterative development and feedback. 
  • Oversee project execution, ensuring deliverables meet business needs, contractual commitments, and schedule. 
  • Conduct regular delivery risk reviews and stakeholder management activities to mitigate scope creep and keep stakeholders informed. 
  • Facilitate project governance, ensuring delivery within time, budget, and scope. Handle negotiation of project change requests effectively. 
  • Rigorously monitor the project’s budget versus burn rate, proactively identifying and reporting potential financial issues to the account manager. 

 

 

  1. Quality Assurance and Reporting: 
  • Lead user-acceptance testing to guarantee delivery of a high-quality product. 
  • Monitor project progress against goals, adjusting strategies as necessary to ensure success. 
  • Produce and maintain project documentation, including use cases, product materials, and executive summaries. 

 

  1. Training and Knowledge Sharing: 
  • Deliver internal training sessions to boost company-wide product/client understanding. 
  • Act as a product ambassador, representing the project both internally and externally. 

 

About YOU 

As an experienced Project Manager having worked across multiple products with external Clients, you will around 3-7 years’ experience in this rile and you will possess… 

  • Proven experience as a Project Manager in a software development environment, managing projects from inception to completion. 
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to translate complex business needs into clear requirements and product features. 
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, capable of fostering trust and managing expectations across diverse groups. 
  • Solid understanding of Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall methodologies, with the flexibility to apply the appropriate approach to each project. 
  • Experience in negotiating project scope and managing change requests, with a keen eye for project governance. 
  • Exceptional communication and collaboration skills, with a talent for building relationships and navigating challenging discussions. 
  • A passion for technology and continuous learning, with a willingness to share knowledge and expertise. 
  • Ability to build trusted relationships across the business and with clients 
  • Good judgement, with the ability to balance the wider needs of the business, the client demands and the individual project requirements 
  • Ability to understand and breakdown diverse and complex information 
  • Working knowledge of information technology applications, delivery processes (Agile, Scrum), software, and equipment. 

The role is cross functional in nature and therefore demands a high level of collaboration with stakeholders, colleagues, and clients. 

You will have proven experience planning, defining, and launching successful products with experience working under the agile methodology and adhering to scrum practices.
