Our client were 2 years into a build of a Data warehouse to provide consolidated reporting on a monthly/quarterly/annual basis measuring a variety of KPI’s. The system was started by an independent contractor, but required significant effort to complete it, test and manage the release into production.

EC have been providing consulting services since April 2021, initially for a 2 month engagement which has since been extended to an ongoing retained service.

Initial consultancy to work with the original developer to understand the scope and scale of the project and to understand the business logic driving the processing, plus to understand what had been built, what was missing/untested and then identify how to move the system to a production ready state.

EC took over the completion of a financial reporting Data Warehouse based on the Azure SQL Data Warehouse platform following the departure of the original contract developer.

​ The EC team worked with the developer during his short hand-over period and then completed various integrations with other systems, completed a re-structure of the Database Schema to support new requirements and migrated the data ahead of the system going into production.  ​

​ Finally EC created the core SSRS reports needed to automatically produce month-end reports for the board pack. ​

​ EC now support the Data Warehouse by providing issue resolution should a production problem occur, alongside regular (monthly) database tuning and maintenance to optimise it’s on-going performance.
